The Crab House
KIAWAH ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA
About Us
Our Story
We are a family of five with three sons and began vacationing on Kiawah Island in 1993. We built The Crab House in 2020, designing it with our growing family in mind. The floor plan is open with plenty of places to retreat. The kitchen is a chef's dream and the master on the main, a refuge. All the guest bedrooms upstairs have en suite bathrooms, queen beds and are bright and refreshing. There's a room upstairs that will delight the children! If you haven't visited Kiawah Island, you're missing out!

Overview
Experience Excellence
Kiawah Island is a barrier island on the Atlantic coast, located 25 miles southwest of historic Charleston, South Carolina. It's a treasure of beach time retreats and quiet refuges nestled in maritime forests. Picture ten miles of wide-open beach connecting to streets lined with beautiful, old Live Oaks and architecture with deep connections to the Lowcountry....wildlife more a part of the landscape than people, especially in the Spring and Fall.
The Crab House is perfectly located in West Beach across the street from the ocean, on Kiawah's first street, Eugenia Avenue. Eugenia Royale was the wife of Kiawah's original owner before it became the "Kiawah Island Resort." It's both close to amenities and away from the bustle. You can ride your bike into Freshfields or to fish/crab at Bass Pond or the Kiawah River in minutes. The sound of the Atlantic can be heard from the front porch.....and the birds and deer seek refuge in the trees and shrubs around the house.
